Your entire diving life in one place.
Every dive from every dive computer, kept together and yours to keep.
Every dive computer
Shearwater, Garmin, Suunto, Oceanic, Mares and more, over Bluetooth or from the files they export, plus Subsurface, MacDive, UDDF and paper logs by hand. One logbook, whatever you dived with.
Your originals, kept
Each file is stored exactly as uploaded. What the computer measured stays apart from what BubbleJournal calculates.
Your diving life, seen
Every dive on a map, a timeline and a logbook, with its depth profile, NDL, tissue loading and air consumption.
Yours to keep
No ads, and your data is never sold. Take your dives with you, or delete everything, whenever you like.
Bring in every dive, from wherever it is
Straight from the dive computer
The BubbleJournal app for iPhone and Android, coming soon to the App Store and Google Play, downloads dives over Bluetooth from Shearwater, Suunto (EON Steel, EON Core, D5), Oceanic, Aqualung, Apeks, Sherwood, Scubapro, Mares, Divesoft and Heinrichs Weikamp computers, picking up where the last download stopped. Until then, import the files your computer's own software saves. See which models, and what comes across.
By hand
Log dives from a paper logbook, and count the dives you made before you kept any records.
From the files your dive software exports
- Shearwater Cloud, logs and CSV
- Garmin and Suunto watches (.fit)
- Suunto app and Suunto Dive Manager
- Oceanic DiverLog+
- Mares Dive Organizer
- Scubapro SmartTrak
- Divesoft
- SeacSync
- Seabear
- Heinrichs Weikamp OSTC
- Poseidon MkVI
- Sensus
- Subsurface
- MacDive
- Diving Log
- Divelogs.de
- JDiveLog
- DAN DL7 and UDDF
- Spreadsheets (CSV, one dive per row)
Subsurface opens dozens of other formats, so a logbook it can open can come in through it too.
See each dive, and all of them together
Every dive has its depth profile, water temperature, tanks and gases, as the computer recorded them. Alongside it, BubbleJournal works out the no-decompression limit, tissue loading, CNS and air consumption, kept apart from what the computer measured.
Group dives into trips, name dive sites on a map, link the photos and videos from each dive, and see your totals, deepest and longest dives in your stats. A dive recorded by two computers stays one dive, with both recordings.
Questions
- Is BubbleJournal free?
- Yes, for now. If paid features ever come, you hear about it before you pay anything, and what you already have stays yours.
- What happens to my original files?
- Each file is kept byte for byte, as uploaded. Download your data gives you a zip with every original file and the whole logbook as JSON, so another app can read it.
- Can I leave whenever I like?
- Yes. Take your data with you at any time, and delete your account and everything in it from Your account.
- How do I sign in?
- With a password, Google or Apple, or a passkey. An authenticator app can guard your password too.
- Who runs BubbleJournal?
- Dmitry Shalimov, in Pennsylvania, USA. No investors and no ads: your dives are the product you use, not the one being sold.
