Terms of use
Last updated: October 3, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and BubbleJournal, run by Dmitry Shalimov, Pennsylvania, USA. By creating an account you accept them. Questions: hello@bubblejournal.com.
Not for planning dives
BubbleJournal is a logbook. Its figures, including tissue loading, no-decompression limits and anything else it calculates, are for looking back at dives you have already made. Never use them to plan a dive or to decide how to dive. Follow your training, your dive computer and your dive plan.
Who can use BubbleJournal
You must be at least 16 years old. One person, one account; keep your sign-in details to yourself.
Your dives stay yours
You own the dive files, notes, pictures and everything else you put into BubbleJournal. You allow us to store, process and show them to you, only as needed to run the service. You can delete them, or your whole account, at any time. Upload only what you have the right to upload.
Fair use
Don't break the law with BubbleJournal, don't try to get into other people's accounts or our systems, and don't overload the service on purpose. We may suspend an account that does.
The service
BubbleJournal is young and changes often. It is free for now; if paid features come, we will say so before you pay anything, and what you already have stays yours. We work to keep it running and your data safe, but we provide it "as is", without guarantees that it will always be available or free of errors. Keep your original dive files too; BubbleJournal keeps copies, but no service should be your only copy.
Liability
As far as the law allows, BubbleJournal is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for decisions you make based on what it shows. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have by law that cannot be limited.
Ending
You can stop using BubbleJournal and delete your account at any time, under Your account.
Changes and law
If we change these terms, we update the date at the top and email you about important changes before they take effect. These terms are governed by the laws of Pennsylvania, USA.
